This is an interesting advertising section parading itself as an article. Visually, we are presented with a condensed, modern, artificial, ad-soaked "living area". The selling point is that any purpose a human being can serve and anything a human being might want to do can be satisfied within this space.

Notice the heavy use of the color green, which is associated with growth and nature - two things that are absent from the scene. The golf course and symmetrical park do not count, since they are 100% man-made. Everything else in this Orwellian nightmare appears to resemble mazes that lab rats run in. In this maze, the rats are exposed to constant advertising (kind of like NYC)

An analysis of the semantics of the "article" reveals even more about what this living area is all about. "Fresh" is used to describe technologies. Traditionally, "fresh" referred to a phase in the natural growth process and was limited to items such as fruits and flowers. Something does not attain freshness without first germinating. In technology, fresh simply means "new" which really means "untested and unproven".

"Interactive kiosks and real-time video walls" figure prominently in this living area. What exactly is an interactive wall? The answer is simple - it is a large, unavoidable advertisement. This is good news for advertisers but not good news for people. Exactly why would someone want to be surrounded by walls? What is the benefit of being surrounded by kiosks and other artificial items that carry messages? What kind of hellish world is this and who would want to be a part of it? Apparently, a lot of people. Take a look at Times Square. And what's up with "natural theme parks"? This is an artificial park with a "nature" theme? Last question. It says here that people will receive "instant updates" in real time. Instant updates on what? "Offerings." Yeesh. Maybe instead of ads on the walls we can instead have images of the "Supreme Leader" hovering over us everywhere we go. Damned if we do and damned if we don't. Bring back the pigs!
